Vanderbilt Mansion + Thatched Cottage Wedding – Deb & Alex

If you’re living in the greater NYC area, you know how unpredictable the weather has been of late. One day it’s mid 80s and the next it’s in the 50s. Mother Nature cannot seem to make up her mind. Such was the case for Deb & Alex’s wedding day. The forecast was calling for rain and as the day began, there were some dark clouds in the sky. As the morning went on, light drops of rain decided to fall from the sky and I was beginning to worry how we were going to accomplish the portraits at the Vanderbilt Mansion. When we arrived at the Mansion, the rain started to increase and then, miraculously, when we started the 1st Look and the portraits, the rain stopped. Thank you, Mother Nature! And I felt like the rain held off as long is it could, b/c 20-30 minutes before the outdoor ceremony was supposed to begin at the Thatched Cottage, the skies opened up and the rain came down in buckets!!! Thankfully, the Thatched Cottage has a backup room to conduct the ceremony!

And we’d like to say a special Thank You to our new Senior Photographer, Quinn, for doing a fabulous job. Many of the photos featured in this blog post are her photos.

Memorial Day Thanks!

Living in the US, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and it’s becoming even more challenging to take a step back and appreciate what we really have in this country.  We live in a great country where we are able to speak our minds, do what we want to do, live how we want and much of this due to the sacrifice that is made by the men, women, and families of those who have died while serving our country. We at Esvy Photography would really like to express our gratitude! Thank you to all of those who have died, serving our country and protecting our freedom! We will forever honor your sacrifice.
