Seattle Engagement Shoot – Jolie & Hayden

There’s nothing better than traveling and re-connecting with old friends. And on a recent trip to Seattle I was able to do that and photograph their engagement shoot, too. We didn’t want to go with the typical Seattle locations, so we opted for a little known garden, south of downtown, called Kubota Garden. Even when I used to lived in Seattle, I never visited. So it was a double bonus for me!

It’s always great to go back to Seattle! I cannot wait for their wedding in September!

San Diego Engagement Shoot – Sam & Yoshi

So NYC and the NorthEast has had quite the winter, this year! It seemed like endless amounts of snow! So when I had the opportunity to go to sunny San Diego and its 80deg heat came up, I jumped at the chance! Nothing but Sun, Surf and beautiful beaches! A far cry from NYC’s weather! I may leave NY and move to Cali! Everyone is all smiles over there! Just look at Sam & Yoshi! Nothing but laughs and smiles all around for this awesome couple! Maybe it was the weather or the fact that they’re in love and getting married. Probably both.

I can not wait to go back to San Diego to photograph their wedding with a beautiful ocean view! I think I’m going to try to make visiting California a more regular thing! 😛

Grand Central Station Engagement Shoot – Alex & Jamel

It’s Cold in NYC!!! Between the Juno snowstorm and the frigid temps, no one really wants to be outside, unless you’re snowboarding or skiing! So Alex and Jamel wanted to have their engagement shoot at Grand Central! We were super lucky with our shoot. Since we did the shoot on a weekend morning, there were very few people around. So we were able to get some really great photos that you would not be able to get during a weekday.

When you look at the photos, you can definitely tell that Alex & Jamel have a special connection and love that will last for a very very long time!

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding! It’s going to have a great skyline view of Manhattan!

Grand Central Station Engagement Shoot – Kelly & Tim

Cold days and nights mean that engagement shoots move indoors! In NY, we are blessed to have so many iconic buildings where we can shoot photos. If you’re a NY-er, you know that Grand Central Station is an amazing building, but it’s always crowded! Even if we try to do the photo shoot at a “non rush hour,” there are still a lot of people. But such is lif

e in NYC. On the night of Kelly & Tim’s photo shoot, there was a little bit of extra security due to protests, but Kelly, Tim and I all took it in stride and made the most of it. Plus the holiday light on the outside of the Station made for a great backdrop!

I’m totally looking forward to their wedding August! I have a gut feeling that it’s going to be REALLY good time!

Michelle & Frank’s Brooklyn Bridge Park Engagement Shoot

If you’re doing your engagement shoot in the winter time, in NY, you usually have 2 choices: do your engagement shoot indoors, where you probably have to get permission from the building management, or brave the cold temperatures outside and hope for the best. Michelle and Frank opted to go outside. And I applaud them for smiling and having fun despite the super cold temperatures and blistering wind! Especially at the southern end of Brooklyn Bridge Park, near the pedestrian suspension bridge to the Brooklyn Promenade, the wind was gusting quite well, making it feel like it was sub-freezing. The pedestrian suspension bridge was closed, b/c it was too windy. And I especially thank Michelle, since she was in a skirt! Not many couples could handle these conditions! But they handled it like champs! (Does anyone say that anymore? Or am I getting old?) And it’s a testament to the kind of couple they are. They are great together!!

With their wedding in September, they won’t have to worry about the cold! They have a gorgeous venue lined up and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding!

Greenwich Village, Soho, & Brooklyn Engagement Shoot – Jennifer & John

There seems to be a theme this summer of couples traveling to NYC to have their engagement photos done. This time Jennifer and John traveled from Canada on a mini vacation to NYC. John and Jennifer wanted some classic NYC photos but without going to the Central Park. So instead, we opted for simpler locations in the Village and Soho. And then we made our way to Brooklyn Bridge Park for Sunset. It was a pretty awesome afternoon! And is it me or does Jennifer remind of you Jessica Simpson?

Central Park Engagement Shoot – Desiree & Mike

Taking a vacation to NYC, touring, seeing the sites, catching a baseball game… all of that sounds like a pretty good time, right? Now, throw in an engagement shoot in Central Park and makes it even better! Desiree and Mike traveled from California to NYC for a vacation and their engagement shoot. We were blessed with a warm but beautiful morning! And not only did the photos turn out wonderfully but I was able to show them parts of Central Park that they have never seen, in person, before. Bryant Park Engagement Shoot – Annie & Samir

When you meet your future husband or wife in a religious building or service like a church, mosque, temple or synagogue, not only are you going score some bonus points with their parents, but you know that there is something special there. You know that you will share a bond will run a little deeper. Annie and Samir, two fun loving individuals, met in such a way. They are such a awesome couple who know how to balance the traditions of their families and modern lifestyles of being raised in The States! For the engagement shoot, we kept things pretty simple and met up on a beautiful Sunday morning. From the photos, you can definitely tell that they are a great match.

Central Park Engagement Shoot | Christina & Grega

After the terrible winter that NYC had, the warm weather that comes with Spring is very welcome. And for Christina & Grega’s engagement, we were blessed with some spectacular weather! It was wasn’t too cool and not too warm and the sun was shining bright! Central Park, obviously, offers its own natural beauty but Christina and Grega were such a great couple and such a pleasure to photograph that nearly every photo was great! They were always smiling and so clearly in love that they made my job super easy! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this Fall!
