We all have our favorites in the office, someone that tends to make your day a little bit more bearable. Maybe it’s someone you have a crush on, hmmm, ever think about that? Do you go out of your way to “bump” into them at the office coffee pot? Or maybe you stare longingly at them during that weekly status meeting? As we sorta alluded to in Eva and Austin’s Engagement Shoot, Austin really had a favorite project lead or maybe Eva had a team member that really made her projects easy to lead. Either way, playing footsie under the conference room table became the norm for Eva and Austin and eventually their office romance became just the start of their beautiful life together.
Don’t forget about Eva and Austin’s Wedding Preview.

Here are a couple photos from a recent wedding in Houston. You may remember Jackie & Ryan from their engagement shoot in New York City.
Here’s a quick preview of a beautiful wedding that we photographed this past weekend in Atlanta, GA.
Mother Nature sent Hurricane Irene up the east coast 2 weeks prior to Aria and James’ wedding, doing some pretty decent damage to their outdoor, wedding venue, the Salt Air Farm. Laid back by nature, Aria and James didn’t really flinch when they heard some trees fell and many of the pretty flowers were swept away. Their simple and fun outdoor wedding went off without a major hitch, as the Farm and local community did a great job to clean up after the storm. Here’s a quick preview. Look for a more comprehensive post soon.
The beaming summer rays on the rolling flatlands of Dallas didn’t phase Eva and Austin from enjoying what may be the pinnacle of their lives. The Esvy team had a blast spending the weekend with this lovely couple… and with, dare we say, Texas BBQ. We’re not going to lie: Surrounding yourself with a free-spirited couple and some great local cuisine… you can’t lose. Stay tuned for more shots!
For most people, when they hear the words “simple” and “wedding”, they think of your average, vanilla, plain jane wedding. Well we’ve got news for you: sometimes simplicity brings out something quite unique to the table. Hilary and Rob went this route for their big day, and it began and ended in stunning fashion. The awesomeness was apparent as soon as the guests arrived to the amazing site of the Historic Chapel in Allaire Village, and perpetuated into the afternoon at their reception in the newly re-vitalized Asbury Park Boardwalk. Unlike your modern boardwalk, Asbury Park drops hints of classic America, making it undoubtedly awesome.

Sometimes you can lean back in your chair, take stock of what’s going on and say to yourself that everything is perfect, just like Lynn & Gust’s wedding day. Although Houston has a reputation of being extremely hot and humid, they could not have asked Mother Nature for more gorgeous weather. The temperature was in the high 70s, and a light breeze picked up as the sun started to set. Adding even more appeal to a picture perfect evening, the glimmer and sparkles across Clear Lake provided a beautiful vista backdrop to their reception.

The path taken by Melissa and Marc went from the playground to the altar, with a couple stops in between over the span of about 20+ years. When first meeting Melissa in grade school, Marc was so moved, he quoted Eddie Izzard from his "Dress to Kill" comedy stand up show, so Marc could say to Melissa, "I saw you in the classroom today. As the sun came from behind the clouds, a burst of brilliant light caught your hair, it was haloed in front of me. You turned, your eyes flashed fire into my soul, I immediately read the words of Dostoevsky and Karl Marx, and in the words of Albert Schweitzer, ‘I fancy you.’"
…. well not exactly. That show didn’t debut til the early 2000 years and Melissa and Marc met back in the 80s. So it couldn’t have happened that way. And while people don’t really talk like that, it’s how he felt. So the cool, calm, and collected kid that he was, I’m sure it was something more along the lines of: "You’re cute. Tag! You’re it." Then you see Marc is running back onto the basketball court. Whatever it was, it was enough for Melissa and Marc to keep in touch over the past 20+ years, fall in love via letters, phone calls, and the regular visits and have their happily ever after.
Congratulations to our good friends Melissa and Marc! We Love You Guys!!!
