It seems like it’s been a never ending snowstorm in NY! Week after week, the snow just kept coming and would not stop! As and a result, the snow just kept piling up. But the snow and cold temps did not dampen the spirits of Alex & Jamel. They took everything in stride. Even when it came time to go outside and do a couple portraits, the snow and ice didn’t bother them, they welcomed it! That’s what I love about Alex & Jamel, they are able to roll with it. And their wedding was a pretty awesome time! They both danced up a storm on the dance and are probably 1 of the best dancing couple that I’ve photographed!

Looking to keep their wedding small and unique, Christina & Grega went looking for a venue that was different from everything else that they have seen in the greater NYC area. Their search turned up an awesomely unique venue that is pretty much a photographer’s dream venue, in the Grounds for Sculpture. It has so many great little spots here and there that are awesome for photos and served as a wonderful backdrop for their wedding. And you’ll probably have to take my word for that. Due to the policy of the Grounds for Sculpture, we are not permitted to post any photo that has a sculpture contained within the image.
As for the wedding day, everything pretty much went off without a hitch and that’s due to the impeccable planning of Christina. And it was such a small and intimate affair that Grega and Christina were really able to enjoy every little moment and spend time with all of their guests, which consisted of only their closest friends and family.
I truly enjoyed photographing everything about this wedding. And that’s not just because the venue was cool, but Christina and Grega are such a great couple that were so easy to work with and were so many little things that made this wedding so wonderful. I mean, Pez dispensers as a giveaway? I’m probably going to steal that idea.
NOTE: Due to the policy of the Grounds for Sculpture, we are not permitted to post any photo that has a sculpture clearly contained within the image. Therefore, you will see very few photos of the actual ceremony, as it was held in a garden of sculptures.
Weddings in Southern California have something that New York weddings will never have. And I’m not just talking about Palm Trees. And I’m not saying SoCal weddings are better, by any means. They are just different. The easy going, laid back type of mentality is everywhere, And while Hazel and John are not from California, they are as easy going as them come and fit perfectly into SoCal. Completely chill and fun loving, Hazel and John soaked up every moment and thoroughly enjoyed their entire day. Hazel, as a crafty and design oriented person, made many of the smaller decorative elements for the wedding. And John has probably one of the best groom’s cakes that I have seen. As film and movie fan, John has deLorean from Back to The Future for his groom’s cake.
I had a truly wonderful time photographing their wedding for such a great couple!

Sometimes things aren’t always perfect, as every wedding has its share of hiccups. For Sofia & Stuart, they had more than their fair share, but what I loved about them was that they kept their cool! They didn’t stress, at all. And they what every couple is supposed to do their wedding day: they just enjoyed their special day and enjoyed their time with all of their friends and family who traveled from all over the world. Sofia & Stuart are such a great couple… calm, cool, collected and they both definitely have act together which makes them such a perfect match for one another! I wish all couples would be this chill!
Thank you Sofia & Stuart for having us be your wedding photographer!
Many couples overcome and persevere through many challenges and obstacles that life throws their way. One of the tougher obstacles is distance. It’s tough to maintain a healthy relationship when your fiance or significant other is half way around the world, let alone serving in our country’s military, like Jason is training to do. But Megan and Jason have not only made it work, but they have thrived and you can tell that their love is stronger because of that distance. And for the wedding, they wanted a simple event at a classic Long Island vineyard, with the setting sun as their beautiful backdrop.

When you meet some couples, there is a special chemistry and love that cannot be explained. It’s like the wind, you cannot necessarily physically see it, but you can feel it. With Sophie & David, I can definitely feel their love. It’s so strong and vibrant that on their wedding day, every photo, the 2 of them were just beaming with joy! And I must say that Sophie & David’s wedding was a true pleasure to photograph. The entire day moved along with no major hiccups and we never really behind schedule, which made for a very fun and stress free day. The perfect kind of wedding to photograph! Thank you, Sophie & David, for allowing us to photograph your wedding! We had a spectacular time!

Weddings this summer in the greater NYC area have benefit greatly from the very mild weather that we have been having. It’s not the usual hot and humid summer that we are used to. For Sarah & Ian, they could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The sun was shining! It was a nice, warm day! Birds were chirping. And they had a great view of the Hudson River Valley from the Ardsley Country Club. It was a perfect setting for their perfect day! What more could you ask for for such a great couple! They were surrounded by so many family and friends and you can really tell that all of their friends genuinely cared for them and that their families were all filled with love. And as for Sarah and Ian, they are a perfect match for one another! They truly love each other and you can definitely tell that they will be together forever. Congratulations to Sarah & Ian!

If you’re living in the greater NYC area, you know how unpredictable the weather has been of late. One day it’s mid 80s and the next it’s in the 50s. Mother Nature cannot seem to make up her mind. Such was the case for Deb & Alex’s wedding day. The forecast was calling for rain and as the day began, there were some dark clouds in the sky. As the morning went on, light drops of rain decided to fall from the sky and I was beginning to worry how we were going to accomplish the portraits at the Vanderbilt Mansion. When we arrived at the Mansion, the rain started to increase and then, miraculously, when we started the 1st Look and the portraits, the rain stopped. Thank you, Mother Nature! And I felt like the rain held off as long is it could, b/c 20-30 minutes before the outdoor ceremony was supposed to begin at the Thatched Cottage, the skies opened up and the rain came down in buckets!!! Thankfully, the Thatched Cottage has a backup room to conduct the ceremony!
And we’d like to say a special Thank You to our new Senior Photographer, Quinn, for doing a fabulous job. Many of the photos featured in this blog post are her photos.
