When you think of a maternity shoot, I’d imagine that most people think of the couple in a studio setting with lights or maybe somewhere out in nature, highlighting or accentuating the baby bump.  And while that can be done very beautifully, for one reason or another, sometimes it just doesn’t work for some couples.  So when my friends Christine and Glen told me that they were expecting a baby, Christine also told me that she wanted to a more editorially styled photo shoot that was not as traditional.  She still wanted to highlight the baby bump while allowing her and Glen to express themselves, as well.

So in place of a studio, we chose a bedroom setting that felt more natural, where they could be themselves.  I really liked the bedroom setting as it allowed us to keep that intimate feel.
