We rarely photograph concerts!  The bulk of the photography that we do are portraits, weddings and the occasional event, so I will never claim to be a concert photographer.  But when the opportunity came up to shoot some photos at the 1st ever FOLD Fest, we were super excited for the chance to stretch our photographic legs, again.

So what exactly is FOLD Fest?

Well, Grammy-winning composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist Nile Rodgers was pretty much the mastermind behind most of the event.  It was held, last week, at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead, Long Island on August 4 and August 5, 2015. Co-produced by music industry veteran Michael Ostin and Peter Herman of Nile Rodgers Productions, the FreakOut! Festival® was a unique event that featured Rodgers and his multi-platinum band CHIC sharing the stage with music legends and contemporary trailblazers like Beck, Duran Duran, Paloma Faith, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Chaka Khan, Janelle Monáe, Q-Tip, Keith Urban, and Pharrell Williams, among other artists.

It was amazing to see two of the most recent Grammy® “Album Of The Year” winners (Nile Rodgers/Pharrell, 2014 and Beck, 2015) perform together on the same stage.
